Fresh Lemon and Ginger Tea
Calming herbal teas can help you unwind after a hectic day. The fresh ingredients used in this recipe are nourishing and easy to have on hand. Here the ginger and honey balance out the tartness from the lemon with a spicy sweetness. The lemon is calming to your nervous system and the ginger is soothing for digestion.
3 cups water
1/2 fresh organic lemon
1-inch piece of fresh ginger root
Honey to taste
Squeeze the juice from the lemon and reserve the rind. Combine all the ingredients, including the lemon rind, into a small pot with a lid. Bring to a boil. Once the mixture reaches a boil, turn off the heat, cover and let it steep for 5 minutes. Strain the tea and serve with honey.
