Administrative Assistant for Chiropractic Office - Part-Time
We are a holistic chiropractic practice in Ithaca, NY with a passion for helping families heal, restore, and maintain health and wellness. We are looking for someone who shares the vision of physical, emotional, and nutritional health to be a long-term, key team member in our office.
This position is right for you if you are interested in working in a small close-knit office environment, have a passion for building positive and supportive relationships and have an interest in living a healthy lifestyle.
This position is NOT a good fit for you if you are not a collaborative team member, if you are not an “all hands-on deck” kind of person or are looking for a temporary position.
Responsibilities include:
Managing patient communications via office email, phone, and text
Learning and using an electronic health records program daily to perform tasks
Updating patient files
Scheduling appointments
Taking and tracking payments
Recording and filling product orders
This is a part-time in-office position. The hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am – 5:30pm.
Compensation is based on experience ($17-$18 per hour range).
Being comfortable using computers is required since you will need to learn and use an electronic health records system daily. Experience with administrative tasks is preferred and knowledge of chiropractic care is a plus.
Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and have a strong commitment to confidentiality of patient medical information.
Position Qualifications Include:
Personable, friendly, empathetic, and professional at all times
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented, especially with scheduling and patient records
Proficient in technology – i.e. email, scheduling software, scanners, printers
Willingness to learn additional skills – i.e. billing/medical practice management software, office software, managing inventory, various office tasks
Experience with taking payments, providing receipts and reports, and tracking financial information is preferred
Practice in adherence to privacy laws and client confidentiality
We are looking for someone who is interested in learning and growing with the business. This may be a part-time role, but it is NOT a temporary position.
